IBM® Lotus Notes® Traveler

IBM Lotus Notes Traveler software provides mobile support for IBM Lotus Notes and IBM Lotus iNotes users. It provides automatic, real-time replication of Lotus Domino® server e-mail (including attachments); calendar; address book; journal and to-do lists.

Easy to use
New e-mail automatically synchronizes with your Windows Mobile® smartphone and updates made on the phone such as changing a calendar entry are synchronized with the server as soon as a network connection is available. The IBM Lotus Notes Traveler client provides a simple, easy-to-use interface with a minimal number of configuration settings. You can customize how much data is synchronized with the device to optimize the use of device memory.

• Communicate with co-workers and other important contacts electronically.
• Create, send, reply, and forward e-mail.
• Send attachments, such as files and pictures, and organize messages in folders.
• Save information about people in your contact list. Organize your business and personal contacts.
• Use contact entries to store information such as name, address, phone number, and e-mail.
• Use the calendar to schedule and keep track of meeting, appointments, all day events, reminders, and event announcements.
• Use the to-do list to organize and schedule business and personal items.
• Write and store information or ideas in your notebook, compose documents before sending them.

Easy to deploy and manage
The Lotus Notes Traveler client is installed on a server running IBM Lotus Domino 8.5. For basic configurations, the Lotus Notes Traveler component runs on a Lotus Domino server immediately following installation with minimal input required from an administrator.

End to end connectivity and security
The primary method for Lotus Notes Traveler clients communicating with the IBM Lotus Domino server is through an over-the-air communication channel.

• Encrypted e-mail support
• Works with any secure virtual private network (VPN) installed on the device (e.g. IBM Lotus Mobile Connect)
• If a mobile device is lost or stolen, an administrator can issue a remote wipe command to remove all sensitive data from the device. You have the option to remove the Lotus Notes Traveler application and data or restore the device to the factory default.

IBM Lotus Notes Traveler supports access from the following mobile operating systems*:

• Windows Mobile 5 PocketPC, SmartPhone
• Windows Mobile 6 Professional, Standard

* IBM Lotus Domino email and collaboration tools can also be accessed from third party software and solutions such as Motorola Good Mobile Messaging for IBM Lotus Domino, RIM BlackBerry® solutions for IBM Lotus Software.
