Verizon Wireless private network enhances the experience of mobile enterprise workforces by providing flexibility, ease of management, and enhanced security in a single turnkey network solution.

Verizon Wireless private network provides enterprise customers the capability to create a link between their wireless environment and their local area network (LAN).  This solution allows customers to use IP addressing to tailor their needs to meet the security and networking requirements of their applications.

The Verizon Wireless private network offers a wide variety of benefits that help enterprise customers improve their network experiences. Enterprise IT applications are complex and often require custom solutions for wireless endpoints.  The Verizon Wireless private network and the flexibility of several fixed-end connectivity solutions (FECS) provide several application management alternatives to customers. 

Traffic segregation with FECS helps reduce the risk that exists on unprotected public networks and access through public gateways.  Enterprise companies can incorporate additional security measures by using such options as VPN, IPSec, and MPLS. 

Enterprise applications that use IP-based protocols like TCP/IP or UDP can take advantage of the Verizon Wireless Private Network.  These include:

• Sales force automation, field force automation, and CRM applications.
• Telematics and telemetry applications, such as automated meter reading, alarm monitoring, vehicle management information systems, automatic vehicle location, and ATMs.

Verizon Wireless Private Network offers Dynamic and Static IP addressing. Enterprise customers can also specify any desired range of public or private IP addresses that are assigned to mobile endpoints.

Note: the Verizon Wireless private network is available only to Corporate Subscribers. Private network functionality is requires a dedicated facilities connection between the Verizon Wireless network and Customer’s data network and is available only in the National Enhanced Services Rate and Coverage Area (Customer using Mobile IP may have coverage throughout the Extended National Enhanced Services Rate and Coverage Area). Customers using Static IP must provide a certified proxy server configured according to Verizon Wireless network requirements. Verizon Wireless may require Customer to submit its proxy server for certification by our authorized representative at Customer’s expense. Private network pricing above does not include dedicated facilities connection or proxy server configuration fees.
