What’s E-Rate?

E-Rate is the nickname for the Universal Service Fund for Schools and Libraries (USFSL), a federal program that’s designed to give schools and libraries affordable access to certain kinds of telecommunications services like wireless voice and data.

If your school or library is eligible, E-Rate can open up discounts as much as 90% off the cost of these services.

The USFSL has set up a handy website where you can see a complete list of eligible E-Rate services, as well as the applicable funding schedule and application process.
